About Garrett Elementary School

William Silas Garrett Elementary School is the home of the Garrett Gators, where "We Strive for Greatness."

Located at 555 McLemore Drive in Montgomery, AL, W.S. Garrett Elementary School, or Garrett Elementary as it is more frequently called, was built in the 1999-2000 planning year of the Montgomery Public School System. It is a learning center for 675 students in grades kindergarten through fifth. The school was named in honor of former Superintendent, William Silas Garrett, under whose leadership the school system gained an accredited status with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Garrett Elementary employs approximately 75 faculty, staff, and support personnel.

Our School Mascot

Garrett Elementary's mascot is the Gators and the beloved Garrett Gator is named Al. E Gator.
