Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) proudly announces the 2025 Middle School Tennis Champions: McKee Middle School boys’ tennis team and the Johnnie Carr Middle School girls’ tennis team. Both teams earned their titles through an impressive season.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Gerkerry Jackson, the McKee boys’ team demonstrated strong teamwork and resilience throughout the season, finishing as the top boys’ tennis team in the district.
“I’m extremely proud of our team,” said Coach Jackson. “These student-athletes worked hard, supported one another, and grew as players and individuals. It’s an honor to coach such a dedicated group.”
The Johnnie Carr girls’ team, led by Head Coach Marlon Reynolds, also, showcased outstanding sportsmanship all season long.
“Our players gave it their all this year,” said Coach Reynolds. “They showed up every day ready to work, and their commitment made all the difference. I couldn’t be prouder of how they represented Johnnie Carr on and off the court.”
MPS congratulates both championship teams, their coaches, and all participating schools on a successful tennis season. We also extend thanks to families, staff, and community supporters who continue to uplift our student-athletes.
