Parents this is a friendly reminder to have scholars return their virtual learning packets tomorrow. Packets were issued to every BMS scholar on Friday, January 17, 2025. All packets should be returned to their home room teacher. Please ensure that your student is present and on time tomorrow morning. Scholars arriving after 7:45 must be checked in by a parent.

Due to expected inclement weather on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday 22, 2025, all MPS schools and offices will observe a virtual schedule. The district will be virtual on both days and all after-school activities, which include athletic events, will be canceled. MPS students and teachers will follow virtual learning schedules. MPS employees will receive specific virtual work instructions from their direct supervisors. All, please be safe and monitor your emails for any additional updates. Please note that Monday, January 20, 2025, MLK DAY, is an observed holiday for all MPS students and staff.

Parents, please be attentive to the following announcements: This coming Wednesday, 10/23/24, we will have our October Family Engagement Event. It kicks off at 4:30 PM in the gym. Come out and join us for "Get Fit With Math. " Make sure that you wear your gym shoes and thinking cap as we have several vendors attending and we will be moving and shaking throughout the evening. This month's family engagement is being brought to you by our math and Physical education departments. You can also participate by purchasing your "Get Fit with Math T-shirt". The QR code is on our webpage. We need a minimum of 100 parents in attendance. Second announcement, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 23 - October 30 and would like for all our scholars to participate. Wednesday, 10/23 - “Sock out Drugs” Wear crazy or mismatched socks. Thursday, 10/24 - Throw Drugs Away Dress up in clothes from the 90s. Monday , 10/28 - “Don’t get Tied up in Drugs” Wear your favorite tie or scarf. Tuesday, 10/29 - “Chuck it to Drugs” Wear your favorite Chucks (Converse). And Wednesday, 10/30 - “Team Up Against Drugs” Wear your favorite sports team jersey/shirt. Last but not Least Friday, 10/25 is Asynchronous Learning Day - students will not attend school. Scholars will complete learning packets at home that must be returned for a grade.

It's homecoming week and this means that its school spirit 2024 at the GRATH. Monday is Pajama Day, Wear your favorite Pajamas to school. No shorts, leggings or house shoes!! If you are not participating, wear your school uniform. Tuesday, is Fall Picture Day. Dress to impress. Wear your best or favorite outfit for picture day. No crop tops, leggings, slides/flip flops. Jean can not have any holes, rips, or frays. If scholars are not participating, they are will wear thier school uniform. Wednesday -Let's get wacky and wear clothes and shoes that don't match.
