🎉 Celebrating Innovative Teaching at G. W. Carver High School! 🎉
We’re thrilled to highlight the incredible work of our Science Teacher, Caryn Barnes, who recently facilitated an engaging and educational lesson for her students in celebration of a fun holiday! 🧪✨
In her Human Anatomy classes, seniors are diving deep into the Integumentary System, learning about how skin burns are classified. To bring these concepts to life, students creatively constructed realistic burns on themselves, providing a hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of the material. 🔥🩹
Meanwhile, juniors in the Environmental Science classes are exploring the fascinating process of Photosynthesis. They recently discovered the crucial role that decaying animal bodies play in releasing Carbon Dioxide, a necessary reactant for Photosynthesis. To illustrate this, students crafted “decaying” flesh, demonstrating the source of Carbon Dioxide and its importance in producing Oxygen. 🌿💀
A huge shoutout to Ms. Barnes for her dedication to making science both fun and educational. Her innovative approach not only helps students grasp complex concepts but also sparks their curiosity and passion for learning. 👩🏫💡
