Two of our outstanding students, Aaron Fullard from LAMP High School and Zy'Asia Belser from G.W. Carver High School, recently participated in a powerful debate hosted by Destiny Driven Inc. on the impact of firearm laws in Alabama. The debate addressed complex issues such as mental health, societal pressures, and the effects of legislation on local communities.

Both students brought forward well-researched perspectives, emphasizing how mental health plays a significant role in the conversation around gun laws. Aaron and Zy'Asia's contributions reflect the importance of dialogue and critical thinking in addressing the challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities today.

As future leaders, they are not only shaping their own education but also contributing to a larger conversation that impacts everyone. Montgomery Public Schools continues to encourage our students to engage in meaningful discussions and promote understanding on some of the most pressing issues of our time.

We’re proud of Aaron, Zy'Asia, and all MPS students who are making a difference, both in and outside the classroom.
